Use this AI tool to create User Guides!
I get it, I get it! Elon Musk says - Any product that needs a user manual to work is broken!"? But if you have to..use this tool!
Only if Mr. Musk built an HR software!
We in HR need user manuals all the time, right? I hope I am not the only one who has been creating manuals for decades now! You are right, in my very first role as a SAP consultant I was tasked with the creation of user manuals that were 50-60 pages long and they were something like:
Click on the icon →Click on the Search Bar→ Type the transaction code ZDSFDFJF→ When the page loads→ Click on this→ Do That→ Then go to…
Not just that, every line of instruction needed a screenshot with arrows and boxes and whatnot!
And that is because SAP screens were so cluttered!
I don’t hate user manuals; in fact, I love them! They’ve been a trusty sidekick in the Change Management process since the dawn of time. There’s something oddly satisfying about creating a user manual—it's like Marie Kondo-ing your brain.
When I finish one, I feel a sense of accomplishment, like I’ve just unlocked a new level of organizational “Zen”. But let’s be honest, the process can sometimes feel like herding cats.
Luckily, there’s a new tool that makes it all a little less chaotic and a lot more fun. Let’s talk about Scribe and how it’s making the user manual journey a whole lot smoother!
Introducing Scribe!

Easy peasy, right?
You just go about your business, performing the task you want to document, and Scribe does the rest. It tracks your actions, automatically snaps screenshots, and generates clear, descriptive text for each step. By the time you’re done, Scribe has magically transformed your work into a neat, well-organized guide.
How Scribe Takes the Headache Out of Manual Creation:
Time Efficiency: One of the best things about Scribe? The time you save. No more spending hours hunched over your computer, trying to get everything just right. Scribe does it all in real-time while you’re completing the task. What used to take hours now takes mere minutes—leaving you with more time for the fun stuff (like that extra cup of coffee).
Accuracy and Consistency: We all know that sinking feeling when you realize you’ve missed a step or messed up a screenshot. With Scribe, that’s a thing of the past. It captures everything you do, making sure no detail is left behind. And because it updates automatically as you go, you can rest easy knowing your guide is consistent and accurate from start to finish.
Easy Updates: In the fast-paced world of HR, things change—often. Updating manuals can be a real chore, but not with Scribe. Need to tweak a guide because of a new process? Just go through the updated steps, and Scribe will handle the rest. No starting from scratch, no headaches—just an up-to-date manual that’s ready to go.
Visual Clarity: Let’s be honest—nobody likes a guide that’s hard to follow. With Scribe’s automated screenshots and annotations, your guides will be crystal clear and easy on the eyes. No more worrying about formatting or whether your images are legible. Scribe makes sure everything looks professional and is super easy for your team to understand.
Collaboration and Sharing: Creating documentation isn’t a solo sport, and Scribe gets that. Once your guide is ready, you can share it with others in your organization with just a few clicks. Whether you’re getting input from another department or sharing it with the whole team, Scribe makes collaboration a breeze.
It's so satisfying to me to share these game-changing tools that have become staples in my AI toolkit. In my newsletter so far, I’ve highlighted the three most important ones that have truly transformed the way I work—tools like Scribe, which makes creating guides a breeze; ChatGPT, your go-to for quick, insightful answers; and Gamma.app, the ultimate presentation wizard.
But here’s the exciting part—I’ve got a dozen more tools up my sleeve that I can’t wait to share with you. Each one is a gem, and I’m sure there will be a whole lot more coming your way.
Stay tuned, because the AI revolution in your toolkit is just getting started!
